Are you looking for an exciting and varied job providing rehabilitation to patients in the community following Stroke? As a Generic Associate practitioner, training will be given to develop your abilities within Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech therapy and Nursing provision within Stroke.
An opportunity has become available for a motivated individual to join the Hull and East Riding Stroke Service as a Generic Associate Practitioner. This service provides specialist assessment and rehabilitation to Stroke Survivors living in the Hull and East Riding area. We offer rehabilitation in a bedded rehab unit and in the community in the patient’s own home.
You will be responsible for delivering individual rehabilitation programmes using a goal setting approach, with the support of an Occupational Therapists, a Physiotherapists a Speech and Language Therapist and Community Stroke Nurses. You will have
previous relevant experience of working within a rehabilitation setting. Currently there is a need for Associate Practitioner support within the East Riding locality. You will need a driving licence and access to a vehicle to commute around the East Riding locality.
The Hull and East Riding Community Stroke Service has a strong focus on clinical governance and provides a supportive framework for further learning including Stroke based competencies. This post is key to the performance of the team, and your drive and enthusiasm will help support the success of the service. You will need effective interpersonal skills and be flexible in your approach.
