Description

Job no: 40003318
Work type: Full Time
Location: Melbourne - West
Visy is powering the circular economy, closing the loop between packaging, recycling and remanufacturing. We believe materials are not truly recycled until they’re made into something new—and it all starts with Visy Recycling. As Australia’s largest recycler, our extensive network of recycling operations is integrated with our manufacturing sites. We collect and sort recyclable materials like paper, cardboard, glass, plastics and metals from households and businesses, and locally remanufacture them back into new, sustainable packaging.
We are seeking an enthusiastic Associate Process Engineer to join our team at our Visy Recycling Laverton site.
Reporting to the Site Manger with a dotted line to the Production Manager you will assist and support the Operations department in various engineering and operational activities. You will collaborate with the Operations Team to develop and implement best practices, optimising processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety are always maintained. Alongside actively participating in continuous improvement initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity for a newly graduate individual who has a few years’ experience in a similar role

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, maintenance, and quality assurance to troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide technical support and training to production personnel to ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment and processes.
  • Conduct analysis of existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality.
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions to enhance process performance and productivity.
  • Design experiments and trials to test new process improvements and evaluate their effectiveness.
  • Monitor key process parameters and performance indicators to ensure compliance with production targets and quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures, process flow diagrams, and technical specifications.
