Partner with other functions to align and achieve both short- and long-term business objectives. Facilitate the sharing and leveraging of best practices, processes, and achievements across divisions and plants. Initiate cross-functional partnerships to resolve technical and systems issues. Operational Execution Oversee the transition of new products from R&D to full-scale production. Develop and implement robust manufacturing processes, utilizing Six Sigma tools and optimizing layout and flow. Ensure all processes meet regulatory and quality requirements, working closely with QA and business counterparts. Manage capital equipment specification and purchasing, balancing technology needs with ROI. Collaborate with R&D to ensure manufacturability is considered in product design. Demonstrate and instill a strong commitment to patient safety and product quality, ensuring staff are trained and compliant. Resource & Staff Management Develop and execute budgets in partnership with R&D and Operations. Guide, train, and motivate staff, supporting career development and maintaining a high-quality team. Determine appropriate staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation in coordination with other managers. Process Development & Continuous Improvement Execute and manage process development goals and strategies. Oversee deliverables related to TDP/PDP, project management, and quality systems. Lead efforts to develop, recognize, and implement key engineering tools and best practices. Develop departmental objectives and metrics, driving their execution and continuous improvement.
