Description
About the game Hopetown is a new narrative-first RPG inspired by Disco Elysium, being built by some of the team that worked on Disco Elysium, including Martin Luiga (founder of the ZA/UM Cultural Movement, writer of several characters on Disco Elysium, writer of the first short story in the Disco Elysium world), Lenval Brown (narrator of Disco Elysium) and Piotr Sobolewski (former CEO of Knights of U, which completed all the tech for Disco Elysium). We are currently moving into early production, building out the foundational systems, characters, and mechanics that will define the experience. With your help, we can transform Hopetown from a great cRPG into an unforgettable one — a living, breathing universe of stories, surprises, and challenges. About us Longdue is a studio founded to create rich, emotional, story-first games that challenge players’ expectations. We’re a remote team of writers, artists, designers, and engineers, bringing together talent from across the industry to push the boundaries of narrative-driven RPGs. We are still early in production, meaning new team members will have a real, tangible impact on the world we are building. We believe that extraordinary games can come from small, focused teams that value creativity, openness, and care over convention. About the role We’re looking for an Associate Producer to support the day-to-day production of Hopetown and help us build the structures that allow creative work to happen smoothly. This role is ideal for someone early in their production career who has strong organisational instincts and wants to grow into a more senior production role over time. You’ll work closely with senior team members to help translate creative goals into clear plans, track progress across disciplines, and make sure work moves forward without unnecessary friction. You'll sit at the intersection of coordination, communication, and care, helping the team stay aligned, unblocked, and focused while respecting the creative process. Responsibilities Supporting production planning across narrative, design, art, and engineering Helping track tasks, milestones, and dependencies across the project Maintaining clear task boards, schedules, and lightweight documentation Coordinating async communication in a distributed team Taking notes in key meetings and turning decisions into clear follow-ups Helping surface risks, blockers, or misalignment early Supporting reviews, playtests, and feedback loops where needed Generally helping the team stay organised, informed, and moving forward Minimum: At least 2 years of experience in game production, project coordination, or a closely related role Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Clear, thoughtful written communication, especially in async environments An interest in narrative-driven games and collaborative development Comfort working with remote teams across time zones A proactive, supportive mindset — you notice gaps and help close them Familiarity with production or project tools (e.g. YouTrack, Jira, Notion, Linear, Basecamp, or similar) Preferred Experience working on a narrative-heavy or RPG-style project Exposure to early-stage or indie game development An interest in storytelling, psychology, or systems-driven narrative design A calm, adaptable approach suited to evolving production realities BENEFITS WHY JOIN US Creative Freedom: We foster an environment where your unique voice and vision can shape a groundbreaking RPG. Thought-Provoking Project: Help create a game that challenges conventions, offers a deep philosophical experience, and invites players to explore not only a mysterious world but also the depths of the human psyche. Flexible Working: We are a remote-first studio, offering you the freedom to work from wherever inspiration strikes.
