Position: Associate Product Certification Auditor Location: China - Field Based Job Type: Freelance, Part-time/Varied Hours Join a Global Leader in Product Certification – Be a Part of Excellence! At BSI, we are looking for an associate Product Certification Auditor to play a key role in helping us maintain product excellence for our clients. In this role, you’ll conduct 3rd party product certification assessments across the electrical manufacturing sector, ensuring compliance with BSI’s rigorous certification schemes. Previous auditing experience is essential, as well as expertise in quality management systems (ISO 9001) and valid CCAA . 9001 Lead Auditor certification would be a distinct benefit. Associate auditors will undertake travel to conduct audits throughout China. Key Auditor Responsibilities: - Prepare assessment reports and deliver findings to clients to ensure client understanding of the assessment decision and clear direction to particular items of corrective action where appropriate - Recommend the issue, re-issue or withdrawal of certificates, and report recommendations in accordance with BSI policy, procedures and prescribed time frame. - Maintain overall account responsibility and accountability for nominated accounts to ensure an effective partnership, whilst ensuring excellent service delivery and account growth. - Provide accurate and prompt information to support services, working closely with them to ensure that client records are up to date and complete and that all other internal information requirements are met. - Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills, to include preparation for and taking standardised assessments related to knowledge and application of audit practices - Responsible for managing assigned clients based on location and a match of qualifications and client contract requirements - Responsible for contacting clients and scheduling the visits, planning the assessments, making travel plans, conducting the assessments and reporting and managing the results in an efficient manner. Required Industry & Technical Experience: - Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related technical discipline - Knowledge of IECQ standards, including IECQ 03, IECQ QC documentation, and sector-specific requirements] - Ability to evaluate manufacturing processes, component quality control, material compliance, and supplier management systems. - Familiarity with global product certification frameworks (e.g., BIS, CE, UL, ISO/IEC series). - Understanding of China-specific regulatory requirements related to electronics and electrical products. - Previous experience in quality assessment, auditing, or product conformity evaluation within the electronics or electromechanical components sector - Prior experience working with certification bodies, accredited laboratories, or regulatory agencies is highly preferred - CCAA Certification - relevant to Product Assessment/Product Validation - Auditor training certificates e.g. ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 19011 are highly desirable - Capability to conduct on-site factory inspections, process audits, and compliance assessments If you want to contribute to this inspiring challenge, bring your open and enthusiastic mindset to our dynamic team, apply now and become part of the BSI family!
