About the opportunity

  • Provide leadership and foster excellence in Aged or Disability Care research and engagement within The University, the community, and professional, and industry sectors.
  • Demonstrate leadership through collaboration, capacity building and advancing cross-disciplinary research.
  • Lead the strengthening and exploration of new partnerships with relevant internal and external stakeholders, nationally and internationally.

About you

  • Commitment to build world class research capacity at UWA.
  • Demonstrated experience of leading and engaging an inclusive and diverse team based on research outcomes and outputs.
  • Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to foster and promote the development of a collegial and supportive working environment and the ability to interact with staff and students with cross-cultural sensitivity.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive collaborations with other research groups and organisations, and across government organisations or industry.
  • Demonstrated success in the professional development of staff and students, with the ability to supervise Masters and PhD students.
