Department of Psychology Associate Professor / Assistant Professor (Ref. 2500000E) Closing Date: Until the post is filled The Department is keen to enhance its reputation as a world-class research hub and generator of knowledge that prides itself over teaching and mentorship. It hopes that a new faculty member in the field of Clinical Psychology will embrace that agenda with the support of abundant facilities at the Department. Applicants should have (i) a PhD or equivalent in clinical psychology which is registrable for the professional practice of clinical psychology in Hong Kong; (ii) demonstrated potential/ ability to build a strong publication track record and obtain grants; (iii) international experience; and (iv) strong commitment to supervise students. Scholars with demonstrated academic leadership, research excellence, a track record of obtaining external competitive funding and rich experience in students’ supervision are particularly encouraged to apply. The appointee will (a) teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses; (b) supervise students’ projects and theses; (c) undertake research; and (d) assist in administrative duties. Appointment will normally be made on contract basis for up to three years initially commencing August 2025, which, subject to mutual agreement, may lead to longer-term appointment or substantiation later. Salary and fringe benefits will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. The University offers a comprehensive fringe benefit package, including medical care, a contract-completion gratuity for an appointment of two years or longer, and housing benefits for eligible appointee.
