QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for candidates who have demonstrated excellent achievements in research and teaching in an internationally recognized scientific environment, relative to an Associate Professor career level (please see www.tum.de/en/faculty-recruiting-faq/ for further information).
A university degree and an outstanding doctoral degree or equivalent scientific qualification, as well as pedagogical aptitude, are prerequisites. Substantial research experience abroad and contributions to study program development are expected. Candidates should have a profound background in accounting and proven ability to identify, incorporate, and contribute to challenges related to the digital transformation. A particular focus area is the usage and integration of artificial intelligence in managerial decision-making processes, incentive setting, performance evaluation, and holistic stakeholder management. We specifically value proven ability to gain extramural research funding.

We seek to appoint an expert in the field of management accounting with an emphasis on the intersection of accounting and digital technology. Teaching responsibilities include courses in the university’s bachelor’s and master’s programs as well as in doctoral study programs. Dedicated engagement for introductory and specialized accounting and methods courses is expected. A strong commitment to the TUM Campus Heilbronn, efforts for prestigious research funding, contribution to academic self-government, and cooperation with practitioners are highly appreciated.
