Description:

At Chewy, it is our mission to become the most trusted and convenient online destination for pet parents and our partners – vets and service providers – alike. Our success is measured by the happiness of the people and pets we serve, not simply by the amount of pet supplies we deliver. That’s why we continue to think of outside-the-Chewy-box ways to delight, surprise, and thank our loyal pet lovers!

In this critical role, you will coordinate the review, categorization, and approval of products and materials acquired for Chewy’s inventory, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory standards including EPA, OSHA, NFPA, IBC, and DOT. As an individual contributor, you’ll work closely with various departments to maintain and enhance Chewy’s commitment to environmental responsibility and safety.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3 years experience in environmental compliance, safety, or a related field
  • Experience with regulatory compliance in a retail or distribution environment is preferred

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Proven understanding of EPA, OSHA, NFPA, IBC, and DOT regulations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication and rapport building skills
