THE ROLE

We’re seeking an Associate Project Engineer to join our Engineering Services team at Crown Melbourne. Reporting to the Engineering Services Manager, this role is responsible for providing project management and technical design support across engineering, maintenance, infrastructure and capital works projects.
The ideal candidate will develop a strong understanding of the Crown Melbourne facility and strong expertise in engineering, design, and project financial analysis. Key responsibilities include supporting the daily management of project timelines, budgets, documentation and design decisions to ensure successful delivery, alongside routine engineering tasks.

THE ROLE

• Apply effective project management strategies to support the planning and delivery of capital projects within agreed timeframes and budgets
• Oversee the commissioning of new equipment to ensure it meets safety, reliability, and efficiency standards
• Ensure all projects are delivered safely, meet defined scope, and maintain clear communication with stakeholders
• Assist in managing maintenance budgets and capital project finances, promptly reporting any budgetary concerns
• Monitor contractor activities within your area of responsibility to ensure work is completed to a high standard
• Manage Crown’s internal utility metering systems including submeters, and tenant child meters
