THE OPPORTUNITY

Our Industrial group of technical engineering and project management specialists have demonstrated their ongoing commitment to delivering innovative and successful project solutions for our clients. Due to local market growth, current projects and a strong project pipeline in Queensland, we are seeking an Associate Project Manager to join our Brisbane team, to partner directly with our clients in leading a diverse range of projects in collaboration with our multi-disciplinary team.
This role is ideal for someone with established experience who is looking to take the next step in their career by playing a lead role in the Project Management team to contribute to the local team’s success, grow our local client base, while supporting the development of their colleagues.
In this role you will lead project delivery across the full range of the construction project lifecycle stages, working strategically with clients throughout the region and across Beca’s range of technical disciplines. You will work in partnership with our client relationship managers, building and maintaining local client relationships, to demonstrate market capability and secure new projects.

Responsibilities
  • Have the credibility, confidence and ability to provide project management and delivery leadership across key industrial projects, from early phase scope definition to detailed design and construction phase support
  • Build strong long-term relationships with our existing and new clients, and demonstrate your ability to understand and translate our client’s requirements into project deliverables
  • Play a vital role in local business development, in partnership with our client relationship management team, leading bids and applying strong commercial judgement
  • Bring a well-developed understanding of project management and construction contract principles with the ability to develop and manage to a detailed Design Program
  • Work effectively in a team environment to deliver multi-disciplinary design. You are comfortable collaborating with remote design teams to successfully deliver key projects for our Queensland clients
  • Have the desire to lead and mentor more junior engineers for their professional growth and development
  • Travel within Queensland to work alongside clients to deliver projects – previous site experience and consulting experience will be well-regarde
