Our team remains laser-focused on one goal – making the world a safer place.    Job Summary:  The Associate Project Manager will support the successful completion of the assigned project while adhering to the company profitability guidelines and contractual requirements. This position will assist in the planning, organizing, and coordinating of Fire Protection/ Detection Systems, as well as SeCom Systems. This role covers all aspects within contracts, working closely with senior team members.          Key Responsibilities:   * Assist in coordinating and supporting multiple projects.   * Collaborate with senior team members to review and monitor operation budget spending, labor and material efficiency, and customer service.    * Assist in reviewing performance against operating plans and standards.   * Work closely with various departments withing the branch to fulfill project responsibility.    * Collaborate with subcontractors to resolve issues and disputes.   * Familiarize yourself with the project management tools and software.   * Attend mandatory company meetings.    * Other duties as assigned.   Qualifications What We Are Looking For:   * High school diploma or equivalent  * Bachelor’s degree in project management or related field, preferred.   * NICET or Manufacturer training preferred.    * Valid State-Issued Driver’s License.  * One year of Project Manager experience in fire protection or related construction field is desired but not required.   * Basic understanding of current codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, IFC, etc.)   * Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written   * Willingness to learn and adapt  * Strong problem-solving skills  * Basic budget management knowledge   * Basic policy knowledge   * Conflict management skills   * Scheduling skills and Milestone management  * Reporting skills     Physical Requirements:  * This role is largely office based but will include project site visits as needed  * Must be able to sit for long periods of time  * Must be able to effectively use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines  * Must be able to perform some repetitive motions while using a computer  * While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to talk or hear.  The associate frequently is required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms        Hiller is a drug-free workplace, an equal opportunity employer and ADA compliant.      We are proud to operate according to our Hiller Values:  Put People First, Empower the Branches, Earn Customer Trust, Embrace the Challenge and Act with Integrity.    Most employee benefits start from the first day of employment, including:  * Competitive compensation package, including pay advancement opportunities for industry certifications and continuing education.  * Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental & vision insurance, retirement plans, company paid & voluntary life insurance, company paid short term disability, voluntary long term disability, critical illness & accident insurance and paid time off.  * Company-provided training, tools, and equipment, including $150 annual boot allowance for employees required to wear safety boots in their jobs.  * Career advancement potential within a growing company.      Join us in our mission to provide comprehensive fire protection solutions and peace of mind to our customers, and together, let’s make the world a safer place.
