Description JOB TITLE Associate Project Manager DEPARTMENT Project Management & Implementation Services JOB PURPOSE: The role of an Associate Project Manager is to support the successful delivery of projects by assisting project managers and implementation leads with planning, coordination, communication, and tracking of tasks. JOB SUMMARY: The Associate Project Manager (APM) supports project managers and leadership in planning, coordinating, and executing projects to ensure they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. The APM acts as a liaison between interdepartmental teams, clients, and stakeholders, assisting with scheduling, documentation, progress tracking, and reporting. JOB DUTIES: Provide operational support so project managers can focus on higher-level strategy and decision-making. Ensure project timelines and deliverables stay on track through consistent monitoring and follow-up. Maintain clear documentation and communication, so all stakeholders are aligned. Gain experience and develop skills toward becoming a lead project manager in the future. Develop knowledge of all aspects of Edupoint’s System Implementation Methodology Support project managers in maintaining project plans and tracking implementation tasks. Assist in planning and organizing application setup, training, data conversion, and third-party interface activities for new customers. Track and report on software customizations, facilitating communication with development teams. Collaborate with project managers and product units to help schedule and monitor optional module and application rollouts. Ensure effective communication across teams and contribute to keeping projects on schedule and within scope. Prioritize and resolve situations that arise with excellent customer service Under the direction of the Manager of Project Management, represent the customer’s interests in internal meetings regarding product direction, company priorities, services offered, etc. Report project status to supervisor on a regular basis Manage and prioritize multiple project tasks simultaneously Be responsive to internal (staff) and external (customer) requests Other job duties as assigned JOB REQUIREMENTS-KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: *Knowledge: K-12 education knowledge preferred Knowledge of student information systems a plus *Skills: Journeyman level skills in the discipline of project management within the domain of information technology projects Attention to detail required *Abilities: Excellent verbal/written communication required Ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks Ability to travel extensively; 5% of working hours may be spent traveling EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: B. Hearing must be in the normal range for telephone and video conferencing contacts. Visual acuity must be sufficient to allow working extended hours on computer screens. Ability to work in an environment with moderate noise and which can be fast paced and project intensive. Travel and some extended overnight trips in the performance of duties will be required.
