ABOUT THE ROLE AND THE TEAM
The Associate project manager is responsible for the success of several internal and external projects, delivering the agreed scope on time, on budget, and at the targeted quality level.
The role is supporting the Product Managers in SITA Baggage on the development, launch, roll-out and management of baggage applications. This role will be responsible for working with SITA pre-sales and SITA account management teams.
As part of this, the role will also work closely with customers on the migration to new products and services, meeting & driving key performance indicators including productivity, escalations and performance.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
All of these key responsibilities are carried out by a Associate Project Manager, supported by the Product Managers:
- Assisting the team in the transition of customers off legacy products onto newer products.
- Manage the successful delivery of customers who have already signed contract for newer products, ensuring delivery is within the agreed scope, on specification, and on time to customer.
- Work closely across different product functions as part of the migration and onboarding, such as the Support, Product Development, Contract and Product teams.
- Own the Delivery phase versus the agreed baseline per defined SITA project management Methodology, delivery tools and processes, to manage and reduce overall risks and issues whilst managing scope and other changes and taking action to recover any discrepancies.
- Own and manage the project flow from quotation stage to ensure End-to-End Delivery performance. Work closely with all End-to-End interlocks (Commercial Management, Account Management, Pre-sales and Solution Specialists, Support and operations, Billing, Development teams).
- Customer facing role to ensure full customer satisfaction and all the time communication throughout the project life and support the Account Manager and Business Management in ensuring SITA meets its commercial objectives for the project and develops its relationship with the customer.
- Manage the delivery performance to ensure project orders are delivered in time and closed in time, and the customer & project status is tracked on SITA tools.
- Manage risks and issues and own escalations (in liaison with line management) and ensure customers fulfil their obligations in case of lapses.
- Generate change Requests as required and obtain appropriate customer and internal approvals, in line with project governance standards and Ensure all project meetings are documented to reduce miscommunication risk and Ensure traceability of decisions.
- Represent the project externally and internally by communicating and reporting on project status to the customer and internally to all stakeholders.
- Produce regular and accurate progress professional reports and present the project status at the project review board meetings.
- Ensure effective transition to SITA Operations and Billing and conduct a formal project close, including Review of any lessons learned.
- Obtain documented customer acceptance of the project deliverables and a conduct customer Satisfaction survey at end of the project.
