Role Overview As an entry-level QA professional, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our software meets quality standards. You’ll learn to create well-structured manual test cases based on acceptance criteria and user stories, collaborate with developers, and help deliver reliable software This exciting opportunity is based out of our Bengaluru office. Responsibilities Review and analyze acceptance criteria and user stories to understand test coverage requirements. Design and execute manual test cases (functional, regression, integration) using clear, thorough documentation. Identify, log, and track defects effectively ensuring proper reproduction steps and severity. Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to support issue resolution and product improvement. Participate in Agile ceremonies like sprint planning and reviews to stay informed on project goals and deliverables. Assist with UAT and post-release testing to ensure any issues are captured before deployment. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or a related discipline (or equivalent) Understanding of SDLC and STLC phases and common testing techniques (functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity) Familiarity with test planning, scenario creation, and test case design techniques (e.g., BVA, equivalence partitioning) Basic knowledge of SQL (SELECT statements) for backend data validation Comfortable reading code or technical specs—even if not actively programming Familiarity with version control concepts (e.g., Git) is advantageous Exceptional attention to detail and analytical thinking to identify edge cases and defects Strong written/verbal communication skills for clear bug reporting and cross-functional collaboration Ability to work effectively in a team-focused Agile environment Eagerness to learn quickly, adapt to new tools/methods, and grow within a QA team Basic exposure to test management or bug-tracking tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or Mantis (Nice to have) Introductory grasp of automation frameworks and scripting (e.g., Selenium, Python, Java) (Nice to have) 66degrees is an Equal Opportunity employer.
