The Brussels office of Fieldfisher is actively seeking a highly motivated associate to join their real estate practice group. This position presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth of our RE practice and to work in a dynamic environment alongside talented and engaged colleagues in Belgium and abroad. As an associate within our RE team, you will collaborate with specialist lawyers (from various departments, including administrative law, banking, tax, corporate and dispute resolution) to assist clients with legal matters related to real estate such as: Investment and divestment, Real estate development projects, Construction, Leasing (including office and commercial leases), Hotel and leisure sector transactions, Real Estate financings, Real estate input into M&A transactions, Real estate litigation. You will be involved in a broad range of projects and provide a wide scope of legal services to our clients. You will contribute actively when we advise our clients and will have benefit of supervision and training by experienced lawyers. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate all or the majority of the following: Master of Laws from a Belgian University Strong academic track record Minimum 5 years of experience A first professional experience in the real estate department of a reputable firm is an asset Fluent in Dutch and an excellent command of English and French An additional foreign law degree is also a plus Excellent legal, drafting and communication skills Ability to work well both in a team and individually Proactive, pragmatic, and solution-oriented approach.
