Onward Search is a specialized staffing and talent solutions company that helps professionals find top jobs with the nation’s leading brands. We’re hiring an Associate Recruiter for a hybrid opportunity in Charlotte, NC with a leading energy services organization known for innovation and community impact. This is a 12-month contract role requiring two days onsite per week.
In this role, you’ll join the Talent Acquisition team to support full-cycle recruiting and deliver an outstanding candidate experience. You’ll collaborate with recruiters and hiring managers to attract top talent and contribute to a seamless hiring process.

Associate Recruiter Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain effective partnerships with Recruiters and Hiring Managers to attract top talent, with a focus on diversity.
  • Develop candidate pipelines through effective sourcing and recruiting strategies.
  • Provide consultation to hiring managers while ensuring compliance with federal and state employment laws.
  • Conduct intake sessions for job requisitions and create/complete them in Workday.
  • Source candidates via job boards, social media, internal databases, and networking.
  • Pre-screen applicants and extend verbal offers, including negotiation when needed.
  • Collaborate with Recruiting Coordinators to ensure smooth hiring and onboarding.
  • May perform Recruiting Coordinator duties as required.

Associate Recruiter Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred in Human Resources) OR equivalent experience.
  • At least 1+ year of full lifecycle recruiting experience.
  • At least 1+ year of recruiting coordinator experience.
  • Experience in large corporate environments preferred.
  • Workday ATS experience strongly desired.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
