This role is within our Regional Investment Banking team, HQd out of Chicago with the mandate of covering commercial banking clients/prospects across our core regions from an investment banking standpoint including M&A, Leveraged Finance, ECM, DCM, & Private Capital raising activities. Collaborates to generate creative, client-focused solutions to prospective and current clients. Develops written internal and external marketing on pitch material. Supports deal teams in development, presentation, and winning mandates. Seeks to develop an understanding of client needs and outcomes. Provides materials to support an outstanding client experience. Identifies opportunities for increased efficiency and improved service to internal and external clients. Provides analytical findings to deal teams. Supports the execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders. Internal partners include Commercial Banking, IB Industry teams, & IB Product Teams Ensures alignment between stakeholders. Researches and analyzes company and industry financial and operating information across middle market & mid-cap companies including privately held & public corporates Performs complex financial modeling and runs valuation analysis as part of client / industry evaluations. Creates statistical exhibits and financial performance trend analysis for client presentations. Prepares industry compilations to address public comps, precedent transactions, & key sector themes across a myriad of sectors leveraging some off-the-shelf content & newly created RIB content Completes quality reports/analyses. Applies technical concepts and understands implication of work to client/transaction. Develops an understanding of and proficiency in using all required systems and models. Participates in defining the communication plan designed to positively influence or change behaviour; develops tailored messaging; and identifies appropriate distribution channels Provides feedback on, and supports continuous improvement opportunities. Integrates information from multiple sources to enable more efficient processes, enhanced analysis, and/or streamlined reporting. Delivers financial modeling to support strategic recommendations to clients. Qualifications: 3+ years of successive relevant experience within investment and/or corporate banking. Experience in coverage team or M&A is preferred. An undergraduate degree with academic coursework in finance, economics, or accounting with outstanding academic achievement. Strong work ethic & entrepreneurial mindset in a newer group within Investment Banking with significant growth Financial analysis training and experience. Shows initiative, prioritizes work, multi-tasks effectively. Highly skilled in building complex financial models. Expertise in using financial computer applications and database management tools.
