JOB SUMMARY
The Reporting to the University Registrar, the Associate Registrar for Degree Auditing, Curriculum and Policy is primarily responsible for degree audit processes, degree audit systems, and procedures and would manage the degree audit specialist. The position would also provide oversight of the activities of three-member curriculum team which responsibilities include maintenance of the university¿s course catalog, academic course scheduling, and official reporting of course data. The associate registrar would also provide critical leadership regarding policy development for graduation and course scheduling.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with five years of experience in higher education.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master¿s degree preferred; understanding of university integrated information systems, history of innovation and creating efficiencies, extensive knowledge of BANNER student information system.
KNOWLEDGE
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases
Knowledge of FERPA, BANNER and BANNER Self Service and best practices for technical testing
SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented with strong prioritization and organizational skills
Must have proven ability to manage people and systems

The duties include, but are not limited to:
DEGREE AUDIT AND PROGRAM UTILIZATION: Encourage the full use of DegreeWorks and related tools (like the degree audit and planner) to help students track their progress and maintain compliance with federal financial aid requirements. Manage the Course Program of Study (CPoS) efforts within DegreeWorks, ensuring accurate information for students’ degree progression. Oversee the completion of all service now tickets related to the degree audit system.
DATA INTEGRITY AND STUDENT INFORMATION SYSTEM (SIS) MANAGEMENT: Maintain data integrity for academic program information, including program names, codes, durations, and other related data within the SIS (BANNER). Ensure accurate scribing of academic program requirements in DegreeWorks; maintaining up-to date cataloging of courses and assisting the departments with understanding the implications on curriculum of the creation/revisions of course descriptions, titles, and pre-requisite or restriction updates.
OVERSEEING THE UNIVERSITY CATALOG COORDINATION: Ensure curriculog workflow is maintained in order to produce the annual catalog. Lead the final annual approval of the university catalog, ensuring that it reflects accurate academic content, course descriptions, and updates. Work closely with faculty, department chairs, and deans to ensure the catalog reflects the correct course information, prerequisites, and scheduling patterns ensuring all approvals are complete through curriculog. Inactivate outdated courses and ensure they are properly removed from the catalog after several years of inactivity.
COMMUNICATION AND COORDINATION: Coordinate with curriculum team, DegreeWorks administrator, and various colleges to ensure program changes, including major and minor updates, are effectively communicated and executed. STAFF OVERSIGHT AND PROCEDURAL GUIDANCE: Manage the DegreeWorks specialist and provide procedural guidance for degree audit processes. Manage the Curriculum Team and provide guidance for course scheduling and catalog processes. Ensure staff are following appropriate procedures and standards when working with degree audit system, catalog and curriculum systems, and SIS systems.
TECHNOLOGY AND SYSTEM MAINTENANCE: Assist in the maintenance and testing of systems related to your responsibilities, such as BANNER, POUNCE, workflow, Crystal reports, and Xtender. Collaborate with the University Registrar and SIS Functional Analyst for system updates and technology integration related to academic and degree audit processes.
COMPLIANCE AND BEST PRACTICES: Ensure compliance with university, state, and federal policies and deadlines. Research and implement best practices from peer institutions to improve efficiency and service delivery within academic scheduling, cataloging, and degree audit processes.
POLICY MANAGEMENT: Maintain and update relevant policies in the policy library related to academic scheduling, degree audit, and curriculum changes.
OTHER DUTIES: Performs other duties as assigned.
