SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Educational Background: Degree, Bachelors in Electrical Engineering, Science, or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1+ years of experience in Compliance/Homologation testing of photovoltaic systems or power supplies.
  • Standards Knowledge: working knowledge of standards relevant to business products, including Grid Connection, safety, EMC, radio, measurement, efficiency, RoHS, etc.
  • National Electric Code: Working knowledge of the National Electric Code and ability to work with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) is a bonus.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain Knowledge: stay updated on international regulations, with a detailed understanding of Grid Connection standards.
  • Committee Participation: engage in relevant national and international standards committees to capture evolving regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to Compliance Efforts: promote early compliance by raising awareness of requirements from existing and developing standards.
  • Develop Compliance Strategies: formulate and recommend compliance strategies that align with the company’s strategic product roadmap, including products, geographies, and timelines.
  • Contribute to Documentation: ensure relevant standards are referenced in Engineering Requirements Documents.
  • Assist in guiding teams: use detailed knowledge of standards and industry best practices to guide Engineering and Testing teams towards standards compliance.
  • Interact with Verification Entities: work with third-party accredited laboratories to ensure accurate interpretation of standards clauses.
  • Maintain Documentation Library: develop and maintain a documentation library that defines the conformity assessment framework for target countries and products.
  • Knowledge Sharing: share knowledge with the team and the wider business through training and documentation.
