Position Summary: The Associate – Risk Management will support the effective implementation and continuous enhancement of the University’s risk management framework and systems. This role is responsible to assist in the administration of the Insight4GRC risk management system and supporting key elements of the risk framework, including policy compliance, risk assessments, training and awareness, monitoring, reporting, and stakeholder engagement. The incumbent will work closely with the Regional Head, Risk Management and relevant stakeholders to strengthen the University’s culture of risk awareness, improve risk processes, and contribute to data-driven risk reporting and governance. Key Responsibilities: support the maintenance, benchmarking and continuous enhancement of the University’s risk management programme assist in identifying emerging risks in collaboration with first line functions and relevant stakeholders explore and support the integration of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning solutions to strengthen risk management processes provide support in the risk review and monitoring process to ensure effective implementation of the risk framework assist in ensuring compliance with risk management policies and related procedures work closely with Risk Coordinators to improve the quality and consistency of risk assessments maintain and enhance tools and techniques used for risk identification, assessment and reporting coordinate with the Internal Audit Department on risk-related matters support the development and maintenance of risk management curriculum, manuals and user guides assist in organizing and delivering risk management training sessions and awareness initiatives incorporate stakeholder feedback to continuously enhance training content and materials collaborate with stakeholders to develop and refine key risk indicators (KRIs) collect, validate and consolidate risk data for inclusion in management and governance reports administer and maintain the Insight4GRC risk management system, ensuring data integrity and accuracy maintain and update system documentation and communicate system changes to internal and external users coordinate with system vendors on technical issues and enhancements follow established change management processes and identify opportunities for system improvement share risk management tools, practices and knowledge with IIS and AKDN agencies, as appropriate support initiatives related to the Anti-Fraud Policy, including benchmarking against peer institutions maintain fraud-related procedures and logs in accordance with policy requirements assist the Regional Head in conducting workshops for practitioners, senior management, trustees and new joiners undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor Qualifications and Experience Required: Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Accounting & Finance, or a related discipline; ACCA qualification will be an advantage Experience in delivering training sessions will be considered an asset Experience: Some relevant experience through internships or exposure to workplace systems and processes Basic understanding of risk management principles and frameworks Experience in data integrity checks and validation processes Knowledge, Skills and Competencies: strong analytical skills with high attention to detail excellent problem-solving abilities with a results-oriented approach strong administrative, planning and organizational skills ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively under pressure excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications; familiarity with Power BI and data analytics tools ability to work effectively in global, multidisciplinary teams willingness to travel as required Comprehensive employment reference checks will be conducted.
