Job Description The Packaging Machinery Solutions Engineer provides technical leadership and application expertise to support front‑line sales in the packaging machinery industry. This role drives pre‑order testing, cost estimating, facility layout/line design, proposal creation and machine order reviews, coordinates handovers to project teams, and helps market machinery capabilities to win new business and improve product lines. Key responsibilities Act as a support function for technical sales, agents and customers across assigned regions on packaging machinery (e.g., Flow wrappers, robotics, cartoners, case packers, various 3rd party equipment). Coordinate pre‑order machine testing and validation, work with test lab to document results and identify risks/mitigations. Work closely with System engineering to prepare accurate cost estimates, layouts, and proposals. Clarify customer specifications and scope with direct sales/agents to enable correct order entry and reduce change orders. Coordinate handover to project management at order entry, supply test protocols, FAT acceptance criteria, and remain available during order fulfillment for technical clarifications. Qualifications Basic Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or commensurate experience 1+ years' experience with packaging equipment in the food and pharmaceutical industry (internships considered) Experience in AUTOCAD or SolidWorks Experience in MS Products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, etc.) Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual (Spanish & English) Experience with CRM, SAPStrong Negotiation skills Project Management Experience Additional Information The salary for this position starts $80,000.
