Description

ASSOCIATE SALES EXECUTIVE - REUTERS ARCHIVE

We envisage the successful candidate being based in London (UK).
Want to develop your media career with one of the world’s most trusted and respected news and media organisations? Like the sound of selling archive images and videos to a host of our global clients? This might just be the role for you.
Reuters are looking for an Associate Sales Executive to work with global clients and sell archive video and images. For us, archive means anything older than 48 hours’ old, so you might find yourself selling anything from images taken at the White House last week, to video footage dating back to 1913 (and everything in between!). We work with news and media outlets, publishing companies and high-profile documentary film makers and production companies to ensure that they have the materials they need in order to create great content. This is a great role for someone that’s looking to combine their research skills and interest in both historical and current affairs with their commercial acumen and contribute to the growth of Reuters’ transactional business.

ABOUT YOU

You’re a fit for the role of Associate Sales Executive at Reuters if you have:

  • Excellent communication skills with a hunger to learn how to work and sell to an array of global media and entertainment clients.
  • A keen awareness of current and historical affairs. We consider anything older than 48 hours to be archive material. This means that you could be researching and selling material on topics that’s from five days ago, or from 1895.
  • Great communication skills with the ability to ask clients the right questions to ensure we’re delivering the materials they’re looking for.
  • Good commercial acumen, with the ability to understand why certain parties might be interested in the contents of our archive.
  • A collaborative mindset with the desire to grow and build your media sales career with one of the world’s most recognizable brands.
  • Whilst not a requirement, please ensure you list any additional languages on your CV!
