Job Description

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Ph.D. degree or M.S. with extensive, highly related experience in biology, immunology, or related scientific field
  • Minimum of 8+ years’ experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, with a track record of successful drug development
  • Strong track record of managing cross-functional innovation initiatives and external partnerships
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex scientific information to diverse audiences
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, investigators, and internal and external stakeholders through a highly collaborative approach
    Additional Information
    The base salary range for this position is $160,000 – $220,000. Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
    Regular employees are eligible to receive both short term and long-term incentives, including cash bonus and equity incentive opportunities, designed to reward recent achievements and recognize your future potential based on individual, business unit and company performance.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THIS ROLE:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Associate Director to lead internal innovation initiatives and cultivate high-impact external collaborations in immunology. This role will drive scientific advancements by identifying and managing novel research opportunities, fostering cross-functional innovation, and developing strategic partnerships with academic institutions and research organizations, and industry collaborators. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in immunology, research strategy, and partnership development, with the ability to navigate both internal and external stakeholder relationships effectively.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Leverage expertise in immunology, inflammation, and autoimmune diseases to lead and oversee internal and external discovery projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategic priorities
  • Develop and execute innovation strategies to advance immunology research and therapeutic discovery
  • Establish processes for evaluating and prioritizing innovative concepts, ensuring alignment with company objectives
  • Identify, establish, and manage strategic partnerships with academic institutions, research organizations, and other external collaborators
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of external collaborations, ensuring successful outcomes and integration with prioritized internal programs
  • Collaborate with internal R&D, translational, and clinical teams to identify and support novel scientific opportunities
  • Drive a culture of scientific excellence and innovation by fostering collaboration across disciplines
