JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a highly skilled Lab Technician with a strong background in molecular biology to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have excellent pipetting skills, be adept with computer programs like Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and possess strong verbal and written communication abilities.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

• Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or Molecular Biology.
• 1+ years of biological lab experience.
• Proficiency in genomics, biology, and molecular biology techniques.
• Detail-oriented with strong pipetting skills.
• Knowledge of standard laboratory processes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience working in a regulatory environment (e.g., CLIA/CAP, GLP, GMP, and/or GCP) is highly desirable.
• Ability to develop and follow Standard Operating Protocols (SOPs).

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Independently carry out nucleic acid extractions from a variety of sample types.
• Perform quantitative PCR (qPCR) set-up and data analysis.
• Prepare libraries for high-throughput sequencing.
• Conduct DNA sequencing on next-generation DNA analyzers.
• Perform routine maintenance of DNA analyzers and related equipment.
• Check inventory and replenish consumable sequencing supplies.
• Communicate with customers by phone and e-mail in a friendly and professional manner.
• Follow SOPs and guidance of supervisors while being an effective team player committed to company goals.
