Description

SUMMARY:

A highly motivated and experienced Analytical Chemist is needed to join the team. The focus of the role is the characterization of monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) and other biologics. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing analytical methods to support the research and development of therapeutic proteins/mAbs. This role requires a strong understanding of protein biochemistry and a proven track record of applying a variety of analytical techniques, specifically N-glycan analysis, titer determination, Size Exclusion Chromatography (SEC), peptide mapping, imaged Capillary Isoelectric Focusing (iCE), and Capillary Gel Electrophoresis (CGE) along with some Mass Spectroscopy (MS) experience to characterize mAbs and other proteins.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED required; higher levels of education completion preferred
  • A minimum of 5+ years of related experience
  • Strong understanding of protein biochemistry
  • Proven track record of applying a variety of analytical techniques, specifically the below:
  • N-glycan analysis
  • Titer determination
  • Size Exclusion Chromatography (SEC)
  • Peptide mapping
  • Imaged Capillary Isoelectric Focusing (iCE)
  • Capillary Gel Electrophoresis (CGE)
  • Mass Spectroscopy (MS) experience to characterize mAbs and other proteins
  • HPLC and UPLC experience required
  • Experience with size exclusion chromatography and protein characterization
