QUALIFICATIONS:

B.S. in applied science or an equivalent degree in a related technical area.
Previous knowledge of E. coli cell culture is a plus.
Previous experience with gel electrophoresis is a plus.
Hands-on problem solver, comfortable with modern laboratory techniques and procedures.
Complies with all necessary EHS safety regulations.
Must be able to work collaboratively within a team, including manufacturing, quality, and procurement functions, through development and validation phases to support a successful product launch.
Seeks out feedback and responds appropriately to input from other R&D peer groups.
Demonstrates good communication skills and an ability to deliver clear, concise technical presentations.

Responsibilities

In this role as an entry-level scientist/engineer, you will contribute to technology and product development projects to deliver advanced chromatography technologies intended for a wide range of bioprocessing applications. You will conduct E. coli cell culture to produce biologics to be used to test the chromatography devices. You will apply solid scientific and engineering principles to: (1) design and test prototype chromatography products in a collaborative environment; (2) develop materials, devices, and methods that achieve cost and performance objectives; and (3) summarize experimental results and conclusions to the project team through written reports and technical presentations.
