Description Description: As a function of Product Development/Technical Operations team, the job candidate is required to work in the lab performing bench trials, physical raw materials/products evaluations, and assist with pilot trials. The candidate will be responsible for developing new formulas, reformulating existing products, providing support to manufacturing, collecting and analyzing data with assistance from a PD/Tech Ops staff. Additionally, the candidate must be self-motivated, able to work in a team-based environment and possess both mechanical and mathematical aptitude. Roles and Responsibilities: Performs job duties with support from a senior staff, capable of learning how to apply the principles of science in formulating new or reformulating existing products Develops new and reformulate existing products using latest technologies/equipment Assists senior staff members with preparation / execution of pilot batches and product scale-up (evaluation) batches and gather data to support in-process parameters and finished product specification Assists with the creation of manufacturing batch records, deviations, change controls to support production demands Performs troubleshooting on various processes/products Works with scientists/technical operation staff to develop solutions to production issues Ensures compliance with all federal and state government agency laws Communicates effectively with other departments within the organization Other duties as assigned Regular attendance is required Requirements Requirements: Excellent interpersonal communication, and organization skills Ability to use the principles of general science, chemistry, and physics to produce formulations that will run efficiently in manufacturing operations Have the ability to learn how to operate equipment and instruments safely used in the product development laboratory Must be computer literate and capable in technical data accumulation and reporting Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing Education and Experience 0 – 2 years of hands-on formulation experience with preferred education background Bachelor’s Degree in Science related field Supervisory Responsibilities: None
