DESCRIPTION
Part-time – Up to 30 hours per week, including weekends and holidays as needed
Location – Cambridge and Boston, Massachusetts

Pay Range - $25 to $50 per hour commensurate with skills & experience
SmartLabs is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join the Technical Services team. The team offers technical, surgical, imaging, and training capabilities to support our program. The successful candidate must be highly motivated, possess excellent communication skills, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
Clear understanding and knowledge of the methods, materials, and equipment used in animal care and research laboratory activities.
- Basic laboratory experience in vivo is required, and in vitro experience will be considered a plus.
- Imaging and surgical experience is highly desired.
- Previous experience in animal handling, sample collection, and necropsies.
- Dosing of animals including PO, SC, IP, IV, IM.
- Prior experience with in-vivo data collection and basic scientific principles is required.
- Basic knowledge of breeding and colony management is preferred.
- Desire to learn new techniques is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and commitment towards achievement of goals
- Attention to detail and the ability to work well independently and in a team setting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work closely with the research staff
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, Microsoft Outlook
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to regularly lift/push, or pull up to 50 pounds
