Role summary This is a laboratory-based position within the Vaccine Research and Development – Analytical Development group. The primary purpose of this position is to provide support for viral analytical development and sample testing. Representative assays and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, cell culture, infectivity assays and qPCR. Role Responsibilities Core responsibilities include running assigned samples under direct supervision within the established timelines. Document all experimental work contemporaneously in an electronic notebook. Analyze data obtained, including any necessary calculations, document results and conclusions and submit notebook to a supervisor or designee for review. Plan daily workflow to complete the tasks/experiments outlined by the supervisor. Perform other duties as assigned. This includes maintaining laboratory instruments as necessary according to applicable guidelines and ordering frequently used reagents and materials. Contribute to authoring technical documents including development reports, analytical test methods, and method qualification reports. Qualification Must Have Minimum: BS in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or related discipline plus 0-2 years of related laboratory work experience. Proficiency in the use of word processing, Excel, PowerPoint and relevant scientific software is desirable. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to adapt to changing timelines and working well in a team setting. Nice to Have Basic microbiology and molecular biology a plus. PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS Standard laboratory conditions – sitting, standing, primarily lab based Work Location Assignment: On Premise The annual base salary for this position ranges from $60,200.00 to $100,400.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 7.5% of the base salary.
