The Role

• The Associate Scientist will sit within a specialist team focused on target identification, running biological assays that contribute to understanding how novel compounds affect plant systems. Day-to-day, this involves generating and maintaining plant lines in vitro, conducting experiments across molecular biology workflows, and contributing to omics-based testing of candidate herbicides. You will record and communicate results clearly, manage multiple workstreams to deadline, and bring genuine curiosity to problem-solving and optimisation conversations. The Associate Scientist will also represent their team in cross-functional scientific discussions, collaborating with colleagues from a range of disciplines to explore the potential of new molecules.
