ASTAR directs and undertakes mission-oriented research to transform Singapore into a knowledge-based and innovation-driven economy. The Deputy Chief Executive Corporate (DCEC) Office (DCECO) / Corporate Group is the backbone that supports ASTAR Researchers in pushing the scientific frontier.
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive individual to join our Team. This is an opportunity to be a catalyst for change. You will be at the center of our efforts and work alongside senior leaders to shape the future of A*STAR’s corporate operations.

The responsibilities of the officer include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Operational backbone for our office. You will provide seamless administrative and logistical support, scheduling and coordinating high-stakes management meetings and ensure our strategic programs are executed flawlessly from start to finish.
  • Digital Transformation & Process Innovation. You will be tasked to review inefficiencies in policies and processes and spearhead the implementation of cutting-edge digitalization and automation solutions (including GenAI). Your mission is to build a smarter, faster, and more agile corporate environment for the future.
  • Analysing Data. Transform raw data into compelling visual stories through dynamic dashboards and insightful analysis. Your work will provide the clarity and foresight our leaders need to make critical, data-informed decisions that shape the organization’s direction.
  • Organise and architect key internal engagement platforms. From designing culture shaping leadership retreats to producing dynamic townhalls, you will craft experiences that forge powerful connections, build alignment, in the entire A*STAR Corporate Group.
  • Build and Maintain Knowledge Hub. You will implement a sophisticated knowledge management system, transforming how we capture, categorize, and access critical information. Your work will empower our teams with instant access to the insights and resources they need to excel.
  • Champion Service Excellence. You will be part of the team to design and launch service level surveys that act as a feedback engine for continuous improvement. The insights you gather will directly influence our strategy, helping us measure what matters and elevate the quality of our corporate services. You will be involved in benchmarking of corporate services and ensure A*STAR stays ahead of the curve and continuously innovates its operations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 3 years of experience in a planning and administrative role is preferred.
  • Pro-active, quality conscious, attentive to details and results oriented.
  • Takes ownership and is able to work independently as well as in cross-functional teams.
  • High learning ability and adaptability to changing business needs of the organisation and department.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills. Able to work with stakeholders from different parts of the organisation.
  • Familiar with the Microsoft 365 suite (e.g., Teams, Excel, Co-Pilot). Proficiency in data cleaning and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) is preferred.
  • Experience in process re-engineering is an advantage.
  • Adept at performing knowledge management (e.g., reviewing policies, procedures and guidelines, department’s content, record of decisions.)
