Your role You'll be a part of our band-1 Disputes & Investigations practice, working closely with our Partners and the wider team across all of our Australian offices. You will gain exposure to the most complex, high-value and significant matters in the Australian market, also frequently working on international disputes. At Allens, our Projects Disputes team is a truly national team, meaning you will have exposure to a number of different Partners and lawyers within your practice group across offices. You will be involved in a wide variety of premier work across different clients and sectors. We encourage our lawyers to find their niche and specialise in areas they're interested in, while building a strong foundation across their field. Your role within our team will include advising clients on: Commercial and contractual disputes arising on infrastructure, resources, property development and renewable energy projects; Supreme Court litigation throughout Australia; Domestic and international arbitration; Expert determination, facilitation, mediation, DRBs/DABs, and other alternative dispute resolution mechanisms; Security of Payment Legislation. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity to be based in Brisbane, Sydney, or Melbourne. About you You will have: Experience in construction and project disputes, litigation and claim resolution within a law firm Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team on large matters (both internally within Allens, and externally with our clients' teams), and manage aspects of matters where required.
