And that’s where you come in. Job Description: Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Associate Signalling Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Brisbane, Australia As an Associate Signalling Engineer, you will contribute to the development, testing, and integration of onboard signalling systems for rail projects. You will work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Key responsibilities: Conduct system analysis, simulations, and testing to validate the performance and safety of onboard signalling systems. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during the development, testing, and commissioning phases. Prepare technical documentation, such as test specification and test reports. Support the installation, commissioning, and testing of onboard signalling systems in an integrated lab environment and on-site. Provide technical support to customers and stakeholders during project execution. Manage the technical interface with external interfaces including other system suppliers and system integrator. Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to contribute to innovation in onboard signalling systems. Skills & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Aeronautics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 1 year of experience in testing or integration of onboard signalling systems or similar rail systems. Understanding of railway signalling principles, protocols, and standards. Experience in ETCS/CBTC system integration. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work in a multicultural environment. Willingness to travel for on-site assignments and project support.
