This Position reports to:
Engineering Manager I
In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and enhance the software components in the assigned Software Engineering function in one or more of platform and application management. Each day, you provide accurate project schedule estimates and ensures their successful completion within the deadline. You will also showcase your expertise by demonstrating good proficiency in software engineering in their own area of competence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of software tools to automate BOM data uploads to SAP.
  • Contribute to the design and improvement of ECN workflow automation tools.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of KPI dashboards and performance tracking systems using platforms like Power BI, Excel, or web-based tools.
  • Work with senior engineers to integrate automation tools with existing systems, including SAP, PLM platforms, and internal databases.
  • Document processes and provide basic user support and training as needed.
  • Participate in team discussions to identify pain points and suggest innovative software solutions to improve engineering efficiency.
Responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Plus 2 years of experience.
  • Experience with at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, VBA, JavaScript, or Power Automate).
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI).
  • Strong interest in engineering systems, process automation, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Basic understanding of SAP or ERP systems is a plus.
  • Good communication and documentation skills.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
