Description

As an Associate Software Engineer on our Engineering team, you will work to develop the tools and utilities to continuously enhance the implementation and configuration of the ISSI system with our customers. The Engineering team will provide 3-6 month of training to learn additional programming skills including COBOL, while learning the ISSI system. This is a great entry level opportunity for someone who is passionate and motivated to improve and build on their programming knowledge.
This is a remote position; East Coast candidates preferred.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • Professional internship experience, preferred.
  • Understanding of top-down programming design, data structures, and algorithms
  • Familiar with logic and truth tables
  • Experience with/knowledge of Linux operating system, preferred
  • MS Office knowledge
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical terminology and concepts in terms understandable to both technical and non-technical resources
  • Strong work-ethic, ability to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to effectively work with virtual and diverse teams

Responsibilities
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the ISSI products and services.
  • Write code for Legacy System applications, maintain, and create robust high-volume production applications.
  • Participate in all aspects of the software development process including application design, construction, testing, and deployment.
  • Maintain documentation and follow the SDLC and/or SCRUM methodology.
  • Build effective, collaborative relationships with other team members.
