As part of our continuous growth, we are looking for an Associate Software Test Engineer to join our PI Innovation Services team.

THE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Defines and performs exploratory testing to exercise new functionality and identify undesirable and unexpected behaviours of products using existing tools and techniques.
  • Collaborates with test team and other stakeholders to write and refine test cases and test scenarios with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Updates and executes test protocols for software release cycles.
  • Participates in troubleshooting and triaging of issues with other engineering teams (systems, mechanical, electronics) to drive towards root cause identification and resolution.
  • Accurately documents defects according to project defined processes.
  • Brings a focus on customer value and timeliness to delivering quality test solutions.
  • Participates in software verification activities including contributing to documentation and reporting.

THE TYPICAL EXPERIENCES

  • 1-3 years of experience in a test or Quality Assurance role or writing software in a professional setting with a focus on feature testing.
  • Familiarity with the principles of software testing.
  • Familiarity with test/QA documentation basics (test plans, test scenarios, test reports, bug reports).
  • Familiarity with at least one programming language (Python preferred), or willingness to learn.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and ways of working.
  • Graduate degree or equivalent experience in software, engineering, or a related field.

Our Software Test Team ensure we meet client needs through creatively exercising software functionality to catch bugs early, enabling us to deliver high-quality products. With PI’s focus on regulated medical products, testers are valued as essential contributors to our software teams. You will be supported by our experienced team to expand and grow your testing skills.
An Associate Software Test Engineer is an important contributor to a project team. They help ensure project and team success by applying their knowledge to solving technical problems during product development and transfer to manufacturing.
