Overview The Americas Accounting Associate specialist role is a position within the Americas Controller organization. The role works closely with other members of the Finance organization, especially members of the FP&A, EM team. The Associate will perform month end close steps associated with holding and inventory entities within the EM business line. Responsibilities This position will involve the following activities: Perform all related journal entries, financial flux, key judgments, internal controls, inventory and management reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis for holding and inventory entities within the EM business line. Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to be reviewed by Supervisor. Identify and cultivate productive relationships with business partners and stakeholders. Prepare key ad-hoc reporting and analysis requested by senior leadership. Consistently improve process and functional performance through innovative approaches to challenges. Identify, solve, and/or escalate accounting issues to Supervisor, where applicable. Assist with special projects as needed. Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or related discipline. Recent college graduate or at least 1 year of experience in accounting Intermediate/Advanced level of English Follows through on commitments and demonstrates ownership of results. Exhibits a positive can-do attitude and approaches responsibilities with an open mind. Achievement oriented: exhibits desire and willingness to learn and grow. Applies concepts and guidelines; demonstrates healthy skepticism and effective problem solving and analytical skills. Basic understanding of finance and accounting operations & internal accounting controls. Desired Qualifications CPA or equivalent, preferred. General ledger accounting strongly preferred. However, open to individuals that have inventory experience. SAP Experience a plus
