JOB DESCRIPTION – Compliance & Assurance [Associate] Specialist Position Overview: This position may report to the Supervisor, Manager, or Director of Compliance & Assurance Services and will perform audits and reviews regarding compliance with US laws, regulations, contractual obligations, and internal policies. The Specialist will update Google Sheets to reflect audit results, prepare audit packets, and assist with the updating of compliance-related analytics and reports. This position will also assist with the preparation of weekly compliance scorecards and other supporting reports for management, field leadership, and branch personnel. The Specialist will contribute innovative ideas for streamlining processes and work with the Compliance and Assurance Services team management to implement developed ideas. Complete internal or external scorecards, compliance reviews, audits, provide analysis and reporting, and follow - 40% Analysis: examine data and derive insights from the data sets. Recommend improvements and monitor appropriate follow-up actions - 15% Analyze and recommend improvements to the overall compliance framework and monitor appropriate follow-up actions - 10% Assists with updating departmental scorecards and other periodic reporting in addition to providing data for summaries for any compliance reviews performed - 5% Develop and maintain Standard Work Papers and Flowcharts for compliance and assurance functions - 5% Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending webinars, reviewing professional publications, and participating in internal training courses - 5% Identify non-value added processes within the department and seek solutions (LEAN initiatives) - 5% Performs other related duties as assigned - 15% Education & Qualifications (Required and Preferred): ●MBA or BA or BS in business management, or a similar field ●2-3 years of relevant work experience in a compliance, analytic, or audit environment ●Experience in the use of Excel at intermediate to expert level. ●Intermediate to expert experience with using Google Suite (spreadsheets, doc, slides, google scripts, query function, etc.) ●Knowledge of company processes, compliance analysis, payroll, and invoicing preferred Key Competencies ●Comfortable in a self-directed, time-sensitive, fast-paced environment ●Ability to multitask with excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and escalate trends ●Excellent written, communication, and presentation skills, ability to innovatively communicate complex information ●Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, providing meaningful insights that are impactful ●Shows strong initiative and willingness to take on responsibility ●Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills focus on improving processes to eliminate waste ●Excellent computer skills. ●Expectation to suggest improvements and optimize repetitive tasks Organizational Structure ● C&AS Specialist position reports: Compliance and Assurance Services Leadership ● Job Titles directly reporting to this position: None at this time Is this the job for you?
