About the Role As an integral part of Country Group Japan Business Operations and Transformation organization you will manage a set of business activities and processes enabling an effective and efficient operation of CG Japan. In alignment with the CG’s business strategies and objectives, the organization is characterized by three dimensions: Sales Operations, Sales Analytics and program operations / Transformation. The Business Operations Team will act as a strong backbone for the CG Sales organization by supporting and maintaining the operational efficiency of all commercial aspects across a product’s / project’s entire lifecycle. Sales Analytics will develop data-driven insights for both Sales and Program Management and will closely collaborate with other Harman Functions to develop global solutions. Sales Transformation will manage cross-functional improvement projects and drive problem-solving across all dimensions of the sales activities. The Business Operations Team will have excellent commercial, analytical, and problem-solving skills and closely collaborate with various stakeholders of CG JP and across the entire sales community. The role owner will additionally act as CG JP Transformation and Change Leader. Your Team No direct reports now. To be reassessed based on future business & team needs What You Will Do Manage sales operation function Work with local and global teams in Japan, USA, Hungary and Mexico Act as a sparring partner for the JP sales organization, providing insights and support. Lead day-to-day operational support for sales and account management, sales analytics, and sales transformation. Steer / Lead (cross-functional) improvement and change management projects. Define & implement the best practice standards, ensuring adoption across customer teams. Analyze existing (sales operations) processes, identify improvement and standardization opportunities, and drive implementation. Closely, collaborate with CG JP & global sales stakeholders to identify data analytics needs. Balance the workload across the team and assign priorities. Execute the HR cycle activities including hiring, performance management, succession planning, coaching and team training and development. What You Need Bachelor’s Degree in the related fields like Business Administration or Management Minimum 7+ years in sales, program management or account management. Experience in managing / leading transformation initiatives from ideation to completion. Strong understanding of the sales processes to support the sales team. Excellent collaboration, driving initiatives to healthy conclusion and problem-solving ability. Fluency both in English and Japanese What is Nice to Have Background in data analytics Proven experience in process mapping, work instruction creation, and continuous improvement Ability to assimilate information quickly, efficiently, and accurately from varying sources. Ability to take initiative, while prioritizing and meeting deadlines. Tenacious but professional approach. Flexible with a high degree of determination and perseverance.
