THE OPPORTUNITY

Peak Power is looking for a dynamic Associate to join the Strategic Finance team. This role will report to the Director, Strategic Finance and work closely with the Senior Associate, Strategic Finance to support data-driven decision-making through research, analysis, and reporting. You will be responsible for evaluating prospective development opportunities to determine whether they are financially feasible based on the type of project and its location (within continental North America), in addition to supporting Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) activities. You will also get to collaborate with Business Development, Operations, and the Energy Markets teams.

THE EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION.

  • 2+ years of experience preferred within Strategic Finance, Corporate Development or Investment Banking in North America’s renewable energy assets; experience with energy storage projects or distributed energy projects is considered a plus;
  • Knowledge of wholesale energy markets in the North American ISOs will be considered a plus;
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills;
  • Experience presenting recommendations and summarizing financial analysis to internal and external stakeholders;
  • An understanding of project finance and development concepts; and
  • Organized, diligent, and able to track and manage multiple streams of information on an ongoing basis.
