Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Associate Technical Designer with cut-and-sew experience to support the development and execution of apparel across multiple product categories. This role is responsible for creating initial specifications, maintaining accurate tech packs, and supporting fit and construction standards throughout the product lifecycle. The Associate Technical Designer will partner closely with the Technical Design Manager and Design Team to enhance processes, uphold brand integrity, and deliver high-quality garments that meet the needs of multiple customers. This role is ideal for someone looking to deepen their technical expertise while contributing to a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Responsibilities Create initial specifications and support the development of tech packs, ensuring alignment with design intent, construction requirements, and customer standards. Maintain detailed and accurate tech packs, ensuring consistency across BOMs, sewing details, specifications, inspiration, and prior production styles. Attend daily handoff meetings and collaborate with Designers to translate aesthetic vision and fit intent into technical execution. Support fit sessions and contribute to maintaining fit consistency within assigned product areas. Make appropriate recommendations—partnering with peers and leadership—regarding specs, patterns, construction methods, and techniques to improve garment fit, balance, and overall quality. Partner with the Technical Design Manager and cross-functional teams to enhance and evolve processes and procedures as the business grows. Ensure brand integrity and product quality throughout the development process while balancing the needs of multiple customers. Manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Technical Design, or a related field preferred. 2–3 years of experience in the apparel industry, Technical Design, or a related field. Foundational knowledge of patternmaking, fit, balance, and garment construction. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to multi-task and work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with web-based applications such as PDM, PLM, FLEX PLM, or comparable systems. Prior experience in cut-and-sew product categories. Demonstrated interest in continuing to build technical knowledge and expertise within apparel development.
