Role: Associate Technical Designer
Location: New York City (Central)
Role Summary: We are seeking an Associate Technical Designer to join our team based in New York City, USA. The ideal candidate will possess a wealth of knowledge in garment production, testing and quality control.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role (including multi-product experience)
  • Exceptional understanding of garment construction, quality control and fabric technology/testing
  • Experience of working directly with manufactures
  • A positive attitude towards challenges and implement solutions
  • Strong time-management skills; able to prioritise tasks & be flexible
  • Clear concise communication is a must both written and verbally
  • Confident using Outlook and Exce
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for all technical aspects of garment production to ensure high quality and functional products.
  • Responsible for the following KPI’s – reduced defect rate, increased first time pass rate, production efficiency, compliance rate and reduced returns rate.
  • Management of the end-to-end QC process. Inclusive of fabric testing, audits and the management of safety standards.
  • Delivering continuous creative solutions to support long term compliance with manufactures.
  • Effectively liaising with manufactures ensuring cohesive process control throughout production.
  • Manage and conducting in-house fit sessions whilst taking steps to proactively prevent technical issues
  • Management of sampling processes ensuring accuracy, speed and compliance.
  • Liaising with the Designers, Buyers and Suppliers to offer technical guidance on new product development and garment construction.
  • Management of grading and tolerance rules.
  • Implement solutions from analysing returns and faults to reduce.
