What to Expect
The Technical Services Team is dedicated to maximizing the performance and availability of utilities and infrastructure systems, ensuring uninterrupted operations at Gigafactory Berlin. This dynamic team works tirelessly to maintain, enhance, and restore these systems through a combination of preventative and corrective maintenance strategies.
We are seeking an experienced Technical Services Manager - Building and Infrastructure services lead - to lead a team of engineers and technicians in planning, building, maintaining and expanding all necessary facilities to support our vehicle and powertrain manufacturing processes. This role is pivotal to the continued growth and operational efficiency of the Gigafactory.

What You’ll Do

• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of innovation, safety, and continuous improvement:
• Building:

o Roof, special coating / floors, windows, Louvres, facade, complete core and shell

o Fit outs and People spaces including Office, Breakrooms and restrooms

• Infrastructure

o Streets & Parking,
o Underground utilities, Sewage system including Basins and pumps.

o Water /wastewater distribution and Network

• Be a key stakeholder early in the construction process of Gigafactory Berlin, to ensure efficient lifecycle costs, reliability, and operability of the factory.
• Develop and implement preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies to ensure maximum availability and performance of utilities and infrastructure systems.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process optimization and implement solutions that improve system performance and reliability.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
• Ensure all facilities and maintenance activities comply with local regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
• Develop and manage budgets for facility projects and maintenance operations, optimize resources and reduce costs where possible.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the team, leveraging industry best practices and emerging technologies to drive operational excellence.
• Independent handling of authority requirements including participation in discussions with authorities and experts and coordination of external companies
• Independent decision making on planning details, control of the implementation and ensuring the transfer of information within the team.

What You’ll Bring

• Background working as a Civil engineering, maintenance or operation lead in manufacturing environments.
• Experience in maintenance management of industrial facilities and utilities.
• Prior people/team management experience
• Ability to interface with multiple engineering disciplines.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in an extremely fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in technical German and English is mandatory. Further Languages are of advantage.
• Strong relationship management and communication skills.
• Experienced with Microsoft packages (e.g., Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint and MS Project).
