Description
Overview Celanese is seeking an Associate Technician, Maintenance/Reliability Expert. This role will ensure that all aspects of the maintenance plan are followed, adhering to four core principles: Preventive maintenance Equipment repair within their capabilities, including root cause analysis Proactively addressing reliability issues Executing maintenance activities as scheduled by the maintenance planner Responsibilities Conduct routine rounds and actively monitor equipment to inspect and detect anomalies, identifying emerging issues. Independently perform maintenance in accordance with industry standards. Identify required parts, supplies, and repair items. Collaborate with the Planner/Scheduler to optimize preventive maintenance procedures. Ensure compliance with 5S and housekeeping standards. Perform maintenance tasks, make adjustments and repairs, and complete preventive maintenance as scheduled. Conduct C-level root cause analyses (RCAs) on equipment reliability failure modes. Troubleshoot issues in collaboration with other workgroups as necessary (e.g., Core Maintenance Expert, Reliability SME). Apply lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, turn equipment over to maintenance for repairs, and participate in return-to-service activities. Deliver accurate and high-quality work notifications. Qualifications Maintenance skills High school diploma or equivalent Understanding of basic electrical and mechanical systems, with the ability to perform repairs Technical focus or at least 6 months of related experience in the general maintenance industry Troubleshooting and RCA skills Knowledge of processes and equipment Ability to identify anomalies in equipment Proficiency in using basic hand tool
Responsibilities
