Overview Element has an opportunity for Associate Mechanical Test Technician to join our rapidly expanding team in Kitchener, ON. As a member of the operations team, the Associate Test Technician position performs a variety of routine and non-routine tests to determine the durability of interior and exterior automotive, military, and consumer goods parts and components. If you are not currently authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship, Element Materials Technology will not consider your job application. Any candidate must be lawfully eligible to work in Canada as a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada. Responsibilities Set-Up and verification of any new equipment or test fixturing as required Review of technical specifications and customer specific requirements Laboratory notes and record keeping with attention to details per SOP and QAM Computer data entry and report generation in MS Office (Word, Excel and Project) Execute test according to specification Reporting of test or equipment failures and/or safety concerns to Laboratory Supervisor or Laboratory Manager General facility housekeeping Adherence Element Quality System (ISO 17025) and Standard Operating Procedures as assigned Skills / Qualifications Technical or chemical college degree is a definite asset Excellent oral and written communication skills Computer skills Organized with a very good attention to detail Self motivated with analytical and assessment skills Adaptable and work well under deadlines.
