Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking an Associate Tool & Fixture Specialist (Level B/C) to join the Portable tool repair Team in Final Assembly to support the 787 Program in North Charleston, South Carolina.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE):

  • Must be willing to work train on 1st shift and support a 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift schedule.
  • Must be able to work some weekends
  • Capable of lifting up to 35 pounds on a regular basis.
  • 1+ years of experience with the set-up, maintenance, trouble shooting and repair of machine tools
  • 1+ years of experience in repairing, maintaining, construction, and/or the inspection of tools, dies, jigs, powerfeed, etc.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Confined Space Certification and Fall Protection Certification
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Respirator certification.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 6+ months of experience setting-up and maintaining power feed drills.
  • 6+ months of experience in setting-up cutters for both manual and automation operations.
  • 6+ months of experience in operating overhead cranes and/or mobile cranes.

SUMMARY PAY RANGE:

Level B $60,500 - 71,500

Responsibilities
  • Provides tooling support to other organizations.
  • Operates various factory support equipment to move materials, product, and tools as required.
  • Performs routine tool set up and prep activities.
  • Assists with minor repairs needed for tools.
  • Performs manufacture, assembly and fabrication of tools
  • Support liaison for project improvements
  • Manages process compliance and inventory accuracy for the Portable tool repair Team
