Are you a driven and experienced Town Planner looking to elevate your career? We are seeking an Associate Town Planner to join a forward-thinking team that offers hybrid work and the opportunity to work on a variety of high-impact projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing and prioritising your own caseload while delivering high-quality work to meet client expectations.
  • Preparing initial site reviews and crafting site-specific strategies tailored to project goals.
  • Delivering bespoke advice to clients across diverse projects.
  • Preparing, submitting, and managing planning applications, supported by detailed reports.
  • Building strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary professionals, including architects, landscape, highways, drainage, and ecology consultants.
  • Engaging positively with Planning Officers, Councillors, statutory bodies, and the public.
  • Leading project meetings and negotiations to secure the best outcomes for clients.
  • Supporting team members with advice, shared workloads, and collaborative project work.
  • Managing budgets, time recording, and invoicing to ensure efficient project delivery.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in town planning, with a proven ability to manage complex projects.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of planning legislation and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • A proactive and organised approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
