Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Associate in Urban Planning to join our growing team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will support the development and implementation of urban planning initiatives that shape the future of our city. Working collaboratively with senior planners, government agencies, and community stakeholders, you will contribute to projects that enhance urban design, infrastructure development, and sustainable growth. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, technical proficiency, and a commitment to professional excellence in advancing innovative urban solutions. Assist in the analysis and evaluation of urban development proposals, zoning applications, and land use plans Conduct research and compile data on demographic trends, market conditions, and regulatory requirements to support planning decisions Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for internal teams and external stakeholders Utilize GIS software and CAD tools to create and analyze maps, site plans, and urban design visualizations Support the coordination of community engagement activities and stakeholder consultations for planning projects Review and ensure compliance with local zoning regulations, building codes, and Dubai's urban planning framework Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, engineers, and government officials on integrated planning initiatives Maintain organized project files, databases, and documentation in accordance with organizational standards Contribute to the development of planning strategies that promote sustainable and inclusive urban growth Assist in monitoring project timelines and deliverables to ensure on-time completion Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Town Planning, or a closely related discipline (such as Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Environmental Science) Minimum 8 years of professional urban planning experience, ideally gained within a planning consultancy or development organization Additional Information At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
