Position Summary The Assistant Vice President – Human Resources is a senior leadership role responsible for developing and executing the organization's people strategy in alignment with business objectives. The role provides strategic direction across all HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, leadership development, compensation and benefits, organizational development, HR operations, compliance, and culture transformation. The AVP serves as a trusted advisor to executive leadership while fostering a high-performance, inclusive, and people-centric workplace. Key Responsibilities Strategic HR Leadership Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the organization's vision, mission, and business goals. Partner with executive leadership to drive organizational growth, workforce planning, and transformation initiatives. Lead change management programs supporting business expansion, restructuring, and organizational development. Build a strong leadership pipeline through succession planning and talent development initiatives. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning Develop and oversee strategic recruitment initiatives for leadership and critical business roles. Create workforce planning strategies to meet current and future organizational needs. Strengthen employer branding to attract and retain high-quality talent. Talent Management & Leadership Development Design and implement performance management frameworks that drive accountability and excellence. Lead leadership development, executive coaching, mentoring, and succession planning programs. Establish learning and development initiatives to enhance organizational capability. Employee Engagement & Culture Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, diversity, equity, and inclusion. Develop employee engagement strategies to improve retention and organizational effectiveness. Lead employee relations initiatives and resolve complex workplace issues with professionalism and confidentiality. Compensation & Benefits Oversee compensation, benefits, and rewards strategies to ensure competitiveness and internal equity. Conduct periodic benchmarking and recommend compensation enhancements aligned with market trends. HR Operations & Compliance Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, statutory requirements, and corporate governance standards. Lead HR policy development, process improvement, and digital HR transformation initiatives. Monitor HR metrics and analytics to support data-driven decision-making. Stakeholder Management Act as a strategic advisor to business leaders on workforce planning, organizational design, and people-related challenges. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business growth and operational excellence. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Qualifications Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related discipline. MBA (HR) or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred. Professional HR certifications such as SHRM-SCP, SPHR, CIPD, or equivalent are an added advantage. Experience Minimum 25 years of progressive HR leadership experience, including significant experience in senior management roles. Proven track record of leading large HR teams across multiple business functions or geographies. Experience in driving organizational transformation, change management, and culture-building initiatives. Strong exposure to strategic HR planning, mergers and acquisitions, workforce restructuring, and leadership development is preferred.
